Hey friends.
I’m Zach Steinbach, Founder and Creative Director of Steinbach Film Company.
My affection for video first began in my teen years when Mom went halfsies with me on a Sony 8mm Handycam… It became more of thing then a short time later in support of my career as a musical artist, first with a band and then solo. When you’re your own manager, promoter, and booking agent, you become a jack of all trades by necessity. An ability in visual media creation proved very helpful.
Upon relocating to my home state of Wisconsin following a 5-year stint in Music City, video took center stage as the more “conventional” creative outlet for me. I had to stay creative. Video allowed for more time in the evenings and less hours on the road, while providing broader financial opportunities, to boot. Win-win-win.
I cut my teeth over the next few years on various projects until finally registering Steinbach Film Company LLC in 2021.
I’m lucky to say I had two great parents and I still do. The routine emphasis on family and the regularity of dinnertime and game nights impressed upon me a deep love for people, for laughing, for listening, and accepting my share of the load.
My wife, Kacey and I have been married since 2017. We have two kids, Simon (3) and Ivy (<1), and they’re the reason we get up every morning.
No really, they’re the reason we get up every morning because Simon is the first to wake up every morning, and announces “It Is Wake Up Time” until Mama makes his oatmeal. Every morning.

God has been good to me.
It’s my daily prayer that this professional venture may be not only lucrative and creatively fulfilling, but that this work also may impact the lives of others in a way that blesses them and gives forth goodness and objective beauty.
Core Value: Heart
We’re not a huge operation. In fact, “we” is mostly me.
In this season of life and my working career, deliberately keeping things tight and being selective in the projects I take on is right where I want to be.
The truth is I’m still enjoying the process, being out in the field, and hiring-on the help I need for whatever each project requires.
And that’s working out pretty well right now.
Core Value: Honesty
…Speaking of “where,” Steinbach Film Company is headquartered inside one of five beefy historic mill buildings in downtown Cedarburg, WI.
It was built during the Civil War and will still be standing in another 160 years, no doubt.
Relationships form the backbone of any business and, especially in this industry, versatility is crucial.
Cedarburg is just fifteen minutes north of Milwaukee. It’s a relatively small world of filmmakers here in SE Wisconsin, and still this creative community runs vast and deep. I’m proud to have a shortlist of incredibly talented folks I call upon, who regularly form the “we” of Steinbach Film Company and make it – in great function – much bigger than myself.
I’m not alone, though.
Core value: Collaboration
